Physics Seminar - Kenta Itahashi

On Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 4 p.m., Kenta Itahashi of RIKEN will present "Non-Trivial Structure of QCD Vacuum Probed by Mesons" in the CEBAF Center auditorium and via Zoom (meeting ID: 160 588 8698, passcode:390054).

Abstract: Due to the non-perturbative nature of QCD, the present low-temperature vacuum must have an internal structure. However, the structure is hidden and imperceptible. For the investigation, mesons (particles consisting of quarks and antiquarks) play an important role. The mass spectrum reflects the underlying structure and symmetry of the vacuum. In this seminar, we will discuss the experimental study of the QCD vacuum. We will also discuss future perspectives.
